Hive Haul Out!

Join us at Sidney Elementary School for our Hive Haul-Out! This is a great opportunity to declutter your home while supporting our school community in an environmentally responsible way.

🕘 Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (or until the bins are full!)
💛 Minimum Donation: $15 per load

♻️ What We’re Collecting

We’ll have designated drop-off areas for the following:

  • Metal (scrap metal, small appliances, etc.)

  • Wood (untreated wood, small furniture, etc.)

  • Garbage (non-recyclable household waste)

  • Electrical Items
    (e.g. dead vacuums, small appliances, items with batteries, cords, etc.)

🚫 Items Not Accepted

To keep things safe and manageable, please do not bring:

  • Hazardous waste (paint, chemicals, propane tanks)

  • Asbestos or construction/demolition materials

  • Large appliances (fridges, stoves, washers/dryers)

  • Mattresses or box springs

  • Tires

  • Liquids of any kind

  • Commercial or industrial waste

🎁 Prize Room Donations

We’ll also be collecting items for our Prize Room, which supports students ages 6–11. These are used as fun rewards and incentives throughout the year!

⭐ Popular Donation Ideas

  • Small toys (Lego sets, fidget toys, mini games)

  • Sports equipment (balls, skipping ropes)

  • Arts & crafts kits

  • Pokémon cards or similar collectibles

  • Stuffed animals (new or like-new)

  • Puzzles (complete)

  • Books for early/middle readers (chapter books, graphic novels)

  • Fun school supplies (cool pens, notebooks, stickers)

🚫 Prize Room – Please Do Not Bring

  • Board books or baby toys

  • Items with missing pieces

  • Broken or heavily used items

  • Clothing or shoes

  • Food or candy

  • Violent or age-inappropriate toys
